Mauricio Pochettino Set to Become New Head Coach of U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team
Mauricio Pochettino is set to take the reins as the new head coach of the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team (USMNT). Reports confirm that Pochettino has reached an agreement with U.S. Soccer and will be officially announced soon. This follows the departure of former coach Gregg Berhalter after a disappointing Copa América exit in July.
Pochettino, known for his previous stints with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain, brings a wealth of experience to the role. The 52-year-old led Chelsea to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League last season and previously secured the Ligue 1 title with PSG.
The Argentine coach will now focus on preparing the USMNT for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States.
